Dear God, hello, it’s me again

I’m crying out to you

Break me away from these chains

The demons bound me to



I’m sorry again that I walked away

I’m Your most curious little lamb

The troublesome one who always strays

Getting lost on Satan’s land



I stopped to smell the flowers

And got bitten by the Snake

I ran so far, it seemed like hours

Got lost and made a big mistake



I tried to find my way back home

But there were so many different signs

I went down Temptation’s windy road

To see what I could find



I found a mirage of pretty things

But when I got up close

The demons came out of hiding

And I knew that I was toast



But they promised me it would be okay

They told me lies and covered them well

They tied me up so I started to pray

They weren’t bringing me to Hell!



I’ve been here many times before

You’d think I would have known

But each time I open up that door

More pretty things are shown



So Lord, I’m crying out right now

Come rescue me from this place!

You always pick me up somehow

When I fall flat on my face



Jesus, help me, I wanna come back

I don’t want to be a curious lamb

This time I will graze with the flock

I’ll keep a tighter grip on your hand!



So, thank you so much Lord

For the forgiveness of my sins

You paid a price I couldn’t afford

Cuz you knew I would get lost again -
