Writer's Block Games
Karyn Indursky
Thou writer's block is like thee brown lodge
where thee words are playing hide and go seek
giggling like children as we try to dodge
being put on thou white mountain peak
where words look around and peek-a-boo starts
to tease our muse til we cave into write
playful riddles to past our time with art
our poem becomes saved by the silver knight
words are jousting with the jester's humor
scurrying diction all over the place
with chuckles erupting like consumers
buying practical jokes while making messes
so long as our sun wakes us up at dawn
writer's block will take a hike and be gone
If I made a living at this, I
If I made a living at this, I don't think I would ever have writer's block. Idk...maybe I would, but as you can you see.. I have too much to say already!! Lmao...

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
hi
hi. i don't get paid to write, but every writer has gotten writer's block at some time or another. words get jammed, papers get cluttered, pens run dry, keyboards go clickity, clack, and when it's all done you toss it out because it's not up to your standards. then you give it ago again and you think about what you liked about it and what lead you to throwing it out, you comprise and focus on what you like until you end up an poem that reflects you and after one comes out complete the poems you had on your mind that was being ignored comes to your fingertips and you end up with a few poems. i know i'm not the only one who experiences this, i talk with and am friends with other authors/poets/poetess' and it's nice to feel normal.
Oh that's all it is? Well
