Moonlit Poetry Sonnet

Karyn Indursky and Dove

Shall I compare poetry to the moon?

The moon is far more whimsical and bright.

Where lines ride upon shooting golden stars

As the magical genie grants wishes

To praying people scribbling dove bars

For their secret love of chocolate dish

Upon the dark side of the moon sorrow fades

When kisses of poetry starts to ride

The moon laughs as such a joyous parade

Of stanzas to make the hearts open wide

Loosening their fantasy tongues talking

Of dancing upon the moon with pen in hand

Writing without gravity or idea blocks

With the comet stars making it more grand.
