Thorn Pricked Hearts

Leave the crumbled pieces 

of word cutting slander 

in the dumpster 

and replace them with crystal vase flowers 

to grow praise, endearment, friendship

upon the stalk of courage 

for letting your flower 

be pruned and blossoming 

in fan petals of alternation

planted in the packet  

of budding changing 

to make a bouquet 

for celebrating transgressions.
