Bending Rose

Men are friends

loaning eyes of compassion

and grow like a rose

to be held, cherished, nurtured

to become a best friend.

The rose takes his sunlight

to make you smile,

but holds you close when it rains

until budding hearts

exert a petal soft kiss.

With your union

you become a relationship garden

to grow, nurture and flourish

into a bouquet of engagement.

As a bouquet your loves sings

through colors of emotions

while your actions find

him on bending knee

for your engagement

and stroll down the valley of iris'

to be husband and wife.
