What Relationship?

What hurts is being tricked, 

told a man's interested or 

has feelings when he doesn't, 

would date you when he wouldn't, 

and how rumors put you

in a facade.

If I had a date, 

I'd know. 

If I had a boyfriend, 

he'd text, call, see me,

and my son. 

If I was engaged, 

there'd be a ring

upon my finger.
