Nick thought he knew whom he wanted.
He blew off the girl, who was always there for him.
Not seeing what was there was a pitying shame.
Having the girl he wanted seemed right to him.
Nick didn't get anything through his thick skull.
Soon, he lost his friend for years.
Nick was under the impression that he had it made.
Time sped by quickly.
He began to see what he had missed.
Breaking away from his relationship was a hardship.
He, desperately, tried to get back with his old best friend.
She wouldn't give him the time of day,
which left him alone and restrained.
