Star light

Star light, star bright, I wish I could do more 
than think of you tonight. 
If I could reach beyond these stars or give you 
sympathy, I would. I'd set things straight instead 
of making you wait. I'd teach you things and watch 
what your life brings. When I could help, I would. 
You wouldn't have to say a word. I'd automatically 
be there. I'm not you, though. 
I can't make you realize I'm on your side. I can't 
make you feel my loyalty to you. I can't make 
you let me near you, let alone in your heart. 
I can't make you understand me. I can't make you 
let me help you, if you don't want it. 
Star light, star bright, Lord help you make it 
through tonight.
