Set Me Free

Set me free of the burdens of today. 
Let's dismiss racism, adultery, rape, murder, 
child abuse, malnourishment, etc. 
For just one day, let me roam the streets 
with confidence, pose, faith without the fears. 
Let me be tranquil. 
I want to be at ease, to approach strangers... 
without the notions of violence and such, etc. 
I want to have debates with rebuttals... 
without worrying what someone's going to do 
to my car or my house or my family. 
Set me free of the problems existing today, 
which will probably lead into tomorrow.
