We try and we try to beautify.
We do our make up with effort, care, precision.
We make it look just right for the image
society wants.
We take care of our hair day in, day out
for the world to see the image created
while we still feel empty.
We dress for success
or rather confirming to fit in
or purposely pretending to be a "freak"
for extra attention...
just from make up, hair, and clothes.
It's only our personalities
no one knows by our selections of what's exposed.
Have we really achieved
what we want by trying to
beautify?
