Strawberry Lagoon

Once upon a strawberry lagoon
Poetess Sylvia was traveling on Poetry Lane
with her keyboard striking dictions cords,
letting her free verse flow.
Poetess Sylvia whittled pages upon pages
on her banana-bread paper
etching the riddles of her heart
from fiction to fantasy to romance to
the skittle skies of imaginations...
Her soul sang the chorus
of her bittersweet sagas touching hearts
from country to country, nation to nation
with sweetness pouring inspiration...
Poetess Sylvia grew to be a renound writer,
but a sweet chariot friend to be cherished
like a treasure of faith,
not to be taken for granted.
Her sunflower readers supported her
as a person, writer, single mother
while they learned not to be
mean, insensitive, nor selfish.
Poetress Sylvia blossomed in
a field of an artist's soul
singing her flag of American poetry.
