Dancing beneath the moon
with shadows lurking
behind glistening eyes
memories roar to life
faster than an automotive.

Drifting beneath ebony drapes
with creeping ghosts roaming
like starving vultures
memories flash bolts
of emotions, imagery, reminders.

Fluttering beneath black curtains
with phantom pasts lurching
forward like a wild cheetah
memories purge personalities
to confront truths.

Shifting beneath midnight's torment
with plaguing antagonist's slaying
heart strings like a warrior
memories shove acquired lessons
to guide spirits.

Jutting open eyes
the past lingers to
rouse the brain into acceptance
for venturing hard lessons
inscribed into souls.
