Smothered by negativity
I refuse to cave
Into incessant yelling
Ridiculing me
To attempt molding me
Into who you think
I should be
Or how I should act
Because God accepts
Me as is,
Not with restrictions
Or guidelines
Nor judgments
And when I seek Him
I don’t have to ask,
He’s always residing
In my heart.
