Becoming One With Nature

Karyn Indursky

Beneath a spruce tree
sits a boy with tousled acorn brown hair
watching sings sing jazz songs
while squirrels play tag
as his kitten playfully bats at butterflies
or finds a toad to torment
with jumping  grasshopper's being seen
through his zooming binoculars
without noticing before he
scribbles notes in a journal
next to his artist drawings capturing
his dragonfly blue eyes perspective
of willingly embracing opportunities of
becoming one with nature.

Author's Notes/Comments:
