For Jess,
who longs for my poetry,
here goes nothing.
Writing poetry
isn't that easy.
It makes you put so much on the line.
You don't know how it's going to make you feel
or where it's going to go.
You don't know how it's going to make you feel
because sometimes it's just scary.
Sometimes, it makes you realize things
that you aren't ready for
or don't want to admit to.
Sometimes, the beckonings in my head are just too much.
Sometimes, it's easier for me to stray away from waht I'm feeling or thinking
because what I feel is almost always intense.
For you Jess,
I want you to know that I won't stop writing poetry or sending it to you.
I just want to leave my feelings and thoughts bottled up for one night.
