Along came a spider
who crept into my dreams
to steal my smile.

Along came a kangaroo
who hopped into my eyes
to snitch my laughter.

Along came a squirrel
who ran up my leg
to swipe my inspiration.

Along came a fox
who scampered into my hair
to sneak my motivation.

Along came a mouse
who tickled my skin
to bite my muse.

Along came a puppy
who licked my face
to care.

Along came a grasshopper
who climbed my hand
to calm my spirit.

Along came a praying-mantis
who landed on my arm
to restore my humor.

Along came a kitten
who purred for me
to give me tranquility.

Along came a lizard
who laid serenity
upon my lips.
