Fluttering Open Blue Eyes
Karyn Indursky
We look at each other
every day of our motoring lives
without truly seeing
who and what we're looking at.
We look at each other
every day of our engineered lives
without ever truly seeing
complex internality's.
We look at each other
every day of our ticketing lives
without truly hearing
what matters the most.
We look at each other
every day of our cranking lives
without truly hearing
the essences of being.
We look at each other
every day of our echoing lives
without truly smelling
aromas of wafting flowers.
We look at each other
every day of our ricocheting lives
without truly smelling
fragrances of nature's wonders.
We look at each other
every day of our automobile lives
without truly tasting
rainbows of life's flavors.
We look at each other
every day of our accelerating lives
without truly tasting
citrus acids of God's creations.
We look at each other
every day of our jolting lives
without ever truly feeling
the freedom of emotions.
We look at each other
every day of our traffic lives
without truly feeling
what and who we have.
