not uttering a word

when he cracks her
bare buttocks with his
thick leather belt repeatedly
after pulling her long
bamboo brown hair hard
in getting her to
concede to his pounding
fists breaking crackling frail
bones as her shortbread
blouse drips blood stains
down her panther encased
track legs until her
pale gray eyes are
covered with a gasoline
drenched cloth before he
ignites it with his
best dad's cigarette lighter
before she is involuntarily
dying in scorching flames
as she is finally
freed of abuse.
