Friendship's Flight by Karyn Indursky

Shall I compare friendship to a dove's flight?
Thou art more graceful, creative, and pure
With thy poetess hand flying like kites
Into canvas skies of her love's allure.

Wings of emotion flutter into eyes
Tickling velvet feathers of diction
With thee's fingers caressing keyboard keys
For exploring her poetic fiction.

Liberality waves rivet her hand
With the guidance of her romantic heart
Soaring upon tranquility's free land
Etching within her soul of a sweetheart.

Alas dove's darling air kisses shall dare
To skimmer across the lips of the page
But her imagination starts to flare
Like a sizzling candle wick of sage.

So long as the whispering winds blow
Dove's flight of poetic friendship shall flow
