Egg shells crack under
moccasin shoes tip toeing
around the traditional house
smelling of stale cigarettes
burns on adult flesh
no longer holding purity
when stripped of clothing
after being sliced repeatedly
with a kitchen knife
while pouring smoldering ashes
upon fresh lemonade hair
snapping from intense heat
before destroying aloe skin
not strong enough to
fight against it as
slivers fall like rain
into cool blue eyes
dying of consciousness.
