Dance Without Me

Slip on your ruby slippers
for dancing in a royal purple twilight
in your picturesque autumn leaf
dress fitting your child baring hips
that are rhythmically moving
to jazz music and your children
are dancing slowly in growing up
for hearty feasts of dancing alone
as they spread golden eagle wings
to fly bravely in life's journey.
