Darkness fell into her eyes
after crying a heartfelt cry
not only from her eyes,
but rather her bleeding soul
for you broke her into pieces
without ever realizing who
was standing on her balcony
with her long, wavy raven black hair
flowing down to her narrow waist
seeing into the night with blue violet eyes
searching the premises for any signs
of evidence that and when nothing came
she zoomed her senses harder for your
appearance, scent, sound, or anything, anything at all,
yet, there was nothing for her to find
since you left her in the dark
and with a graceful twirl in her
brick red evening gown delicately
embroidered in a rich creamy yellow satin
flowing daintily over her pale beige bare feet
and the bottom trim of lace skims
the tear soaked ground to let it drink
remnants of this tragic night brought on
by her foolishly believing you would show up
to waltz with her under the marmalade moon.
