Almost every kid goes through the phase where they sound like they're saying, "Shit" instead of "Sit." I"m not really that concerned or worried about it. I work on his pronounciation, but there's only so much I can do and if he doesn't say it now he will one day anyway. Whether he learns it from my tongue slipping or my mom's or guests that come over or TV or a movie or on the bus or whatever he will learn it. It's just a matter of when and where. I'd love to be able to protect him from the world and it's imperfections like colds, ear infections, pink eye, vulgar language, etc., but in all honesty we don't live in a perfect world with a perfect society and we never will. So, he's just going to have to learn to accept the world and people for who and what they are and learn that there is a time and place for everything.
