against all other competitors
upon the waxed stage
as her crushed velvet
voice soothes singer judges
while her piglet pink
linen dress hugs every
sleek curve of her
soccer MVP player physique
without taking away attention
from her lacey butterflies
crocheted in her sheer
blouse buttoned with Australian
crystals accenting her womanly
hips swaying to a
jazzy blues beat mystically
until she slowly stills
before a standing ovation
and voluminous applause erupts
into the no longer
stuffy pageant air.
