Once upon a time Princess Penelope
was walking in a garden
when she ran into Knaves Of Harts...

Knaves Of Harts thought
she was sweet
and handed her a bouquet
of dark-red roses.

Princess Penelope began
to blush and got bashful.

Knaves Of Harts found it cute,
but didn't want to embarrass her.

Princess Penelope traveled
to check out cherry-pie dragonflies
and slowly started to mentally
write poetry.

She took out her folded napkin
tucked into her jeans
and used her pen from her
shirt's pocket to write
Knaves Of Harts a poem.

Knaves Of Harts was shocked
when Princess Penelope gently
slipped him her napkin
with her heart on her sleeve.

Scared to see his reaction
she took a path
to the Lake Of Wishes.

Knaves Of Harts read
her beautiful soul
etched by diction
and followed the trail
of rose petals to find her.

Upon a rock she sat
with her bare-feet soaking
in the river.

His heart began to race...
His mind started to spin...
and without a thought in the world
he approached her.

Their eyes connected
when he sat beside her
and conversation began to trickle.

Knaves Of Harts' voice
enchanted Princess Penelope
in a delicate caress
until the intensity of their chemistry
made their vocal skills dissipate.

Princess Penelope went to leave,
but fate wasn't having it.

Her blood sugar made
her pupil's dilate, color alter,
hands shake, and her leg began to twitch.

Knaves Of Hart jumped to his feet
and took out a package of trail mix
to give to her
with his canteen of milk.

Princess Penelope balanced
her sugar and this time
she didn't look away
or try to vacate.

Milk had shot Cupid's arrow
into their souls
and destiny was sealed
with a butterfly kiss.
