If only for one day,
I'd let you see things through my eyes.
If only for a day,
I'd let you see what it's like.
If only for a day,
I'd let you struggle with my everyday problems.
If only for a day,
I'd let you look for nonexistent answers.
If only for a day,
I'd make you bite your tongue.
If only for a day,
I'd make you use my mind-not my body.
If only for a day,
I'd guide you from physical harm.
If only for a day,
I'd have you deal with the outer and inner scars.
If only for a day,
I'd let you dress and act like me.
If only for a day,
I'd give you a chance to get in touch with responsibilities.
If only for a day,
I'd have you fight to maintain the honor roll student status.
If only for a day,
I'd let you remember to be nice to people.
If only for a day,
I'd loan you my family.
If only for a day,
I'd let you borrow my friends.
If only for a day,
I'd let you worry over a license, way to pay for college, work, family, friends, strangers, animals, etc.
If only for a day,
I'd let you walk in my shoes.
