Nature's Poetry

Karyn Indursky

Branch fingers etch
rigid words into
dirt parchment beneath
tea leaf eyes
not stopping to
consider footprints attempting
removal of it
or free-falling raindrops
washing away a
vision of our
nature's poetry.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this after reading David Richardson's poem, "Hot Humid Misty Days," because he is a true poet of nature and its endless beauty.
