Rosy Friendship

Rosy Friendship (Sonnet)
Karyn Indursky September 2012

Shall I compare thee's friendship to a rose?
Thou art more compassionate and tender.
Whispering winds do sashay and transpose
the beauty of your words a sweet splendor

With thou conversations whittling my cords
Within the confines of my ears shall stay
For thou sought me to be a sounding board
But thy words art chipped blue cubes some days

Cutting my poor heart with pricks of green thorns
With rosy red tears sharper than mice teeth
Making my aqua blue eyes start to scorn
As my sad tears drop run from my red cheeks

So long as the sun sets and your heart sees
Thou'st true blue friendship is my gift to thee

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is my Sonnet inspired by the famous poet, Shakespeare, with the ab cdcd efef gg format. Collaborative poem made with Dove.
