God sent me an Angel.
An Angel that couldn’t stay.
God sent me an Angel,
And, all too quickly, took him away.
With quills a glistening white,
And eyes that outshine the sun,
This precious little Angel would cuddle,
But, all night long, he’d run.
Now, with a breaking heart, I send him
To run in eternity far away
Where nights will last forever,
And where there is always time to play.
I’ll send with him one thing.
He’ll take my heart full of love.
For everything else will be provided.
I’m sure he’ll love his home up above
