Broken Smoke & White Mirrors

Lord give me strength for my foundation is crumbling.
Bated breath battered and beat the information
I whisper the truth and it bruises my soul.
Kate killed kicking and crying, cut into the covers
and commit to me this pain.
The faint infirmary filled with willing henchmen
to escape in the blaze of confession
to know now the surface of nothingness.
Hell is a breath away and fleeting fast.
no one is willing
no one is trying
for no one will keep this man
The song remains the same, on and on
A vagrant, suffering undeniable flares
intelligence leaves and its now just reaction
momentary synapses punctuate your form
frictionless
faceless
the undying are kept from the waltz
and are harbored aboard a weathered ship
the wet thirst for more
let’s see how deep this ocean really is.

It’s cold at the bottom,
and pressure bursts the hearts of thousands
skillful acts of stabbing backs
and aphroditic intentions
Blame the ignorant for their lack of interest
all could be kept, held and cherrished
but the captain has ceased to care
onward we drift, silhouettes in the miles
devout fairies walking on water
lying in beds with Engineer’s daughter
“Forgive and Forget”
but what shall he retain?
he lost this of his own accord
for worth decides this match
and one multiplied with another didn’t keep the third
though forced upon her
he forced it out of the picture
his devotion to grow larger
but with a decrepit heart you can’t hear
and blind he shall be till the glass draws near.
