Roger

Oh father of mine,

    Consider the lives,

That thankyou for their safety,

    And you for your time.

You remind of manchild,

    Who must have his way,

But if right as it is,

    What more can we say?

You supported the young,

    And controlled you your strength.

I consider you truly,

    A man among men.

Your music and songs,

    Brought joy to the many.

With sharpened ear and mind,

     To Listen were ready.

Influences I must admit,

    To me have been had,

Some bad, some better,

But the best be my Dad.

Author's Notes/Comments:

A very talented man with the heart of a Lion, the patience of an Engineer, the dilligence of a devotee, with the humility that all of these are unrecognizable unless you get to know him.
