Rickle

He glanced at me,

Wearing a grin,

Gave me a nod,

And then a wink,

And a "How'd ya be?"

I gave him a smile,

Winked right back,

Thought for a while,

Then said after that,

"Well it's plain to see."

"That with my Elfin shoes,

And dusty hair,

In the Lucky Land,

Without a care,

I'm living happily."

And then I laughed,

And quickly said,

"Although mad by half,

Better off than dead,

And that just quite suits me."

I sometimes feel that all I could do is not to do it all.

Richard,

I really enjoyed this delightful poem! Nicely constructed and rhymed! It brought a smile to my face! Thanks!
