It was such a big word the Doctors used
To diagnose my fear
But the fear inside of me
Was much bigger than the word
"I am terrified of spiders!"
I know spiders are on this earth for a reason
And I know they serve a purpose
But they are small, and they crawl
The very thought makes my body shudder
Like magic they spin a web to catch their prey
I must admit this is truly amazing
But one morning while leaving for work
A giant spider web caught me right in the face
I screamed so loud, I jumped up and down
Flailing my arms back and forth
I messed up my hair but I didn't care
I simply couldn't let a spider get on me
The neighbors called "911"
Thinking there was truly an emergency
The ambulance arrived in my drive
The EMT's found me in my frantic state
They checked my vital signs
And were shocked to learn
I was right at the point of death
