A Good Day

It was a good day, it was Sunday

We spent the day together

Just you and I alone

We enjoyed each other's company

We didn't argue or quarrel

We didn't even fight

We held hands and giggled

We even slipped a kiss or two

You and I together

Together a day we spent

We went to an antique shop

We toured a new home

We visited a loved one in the hospital

We ate peach ice-cream

We had dinner at a quaint little seafood place

Yes it was a good day, it was Sunday

But then came Monday....

Geez.. this is so sad, and I can relate to it so well, I have had many good days.. but with the end of the day and the dawn of a new, things seem to change so rapidly, in the blink of an eye so to speak, and all hope of what might be, fades before your eyes. Reminds me of how I want another good day to come, oh how I miss them.
Great job, I really enjoyed this!
Peace and love always
