I put up more plaster

slathered the rough brick

in thick muddy gobs

spackled the cracks

filled the nicks

smoothed the grooves

buffed and buffed 

and buffed

the dried mud 

Now 

well, you almost can't tell 

unless you tilt your head

just so

and sort of 

squint a bit
