Late at night when i cannot sleep

In the silence where mice should creep

My mind seems to go astray

To the darkness where shadows play

And the sadness resides

Along with the fear the world hides

And there I am

A place i cannot understand

Where wanting turns to pain

For all things shall remain

The damage that's been done

When two become one

Going their separate journey

My heart sank below 10 thousand ft

At the bottom of the ocean unaffected by the tide

There my heart shall indefinitely reside
