Darkness imprisons my mind
Knowing not what goes on
Slowly beginning to wander
Aimlessly stumbling around
Silence is all that heard
Screams, shouts, nothing
Continuing to walk about
Dillusion begins to set in
Shadows begin to dance
Thoughts of fear arise
Now running without care
Trees begin to appear
Gloomy figures in the dark
Howls and whines are heard
Forest begins to enclose
Tearing, ripping, slashing
Blood begins to flow
Defeat seems eminent
Fatigue begins to set in
Then a soft voice arises
Soothing and yet distinct
Feelings of sanctuary
As lifted from below
Eyes slowly open
As light trickles in
Emotion is now felt
As embraced by another
