Apocalyptic Horror

Folder:
2003 Poetry

The ground opened up with a gruesome rumble,

as demons entered the world in deadly furor.

Fire storms all yellow and red quickly engulfing

all the tranquillity that had been enjoyed for years.

I run in fear for my life for I know not what to do

to save myself from the terror exploding all around.

People die where they stand, there skin burning to ash,

as bones fall into individual piles of calcified sticks.

Apocalypse thrown upon our lives with destruction,

beyond my imagination and most deadly fantasy.

Horror enters my eyes as I quickly approach my doom,

then I jump up in a sweat from sleeping on the couch.
