It's Over

Folder:
2003 Poetry

I stare at her while she sleeps,

moonlight illuminating her hair.

I thought this love was for keeps,

why does she maintain that affair.

Seemed like we had all we could want,

family, a big house, and friends.

Except I was always nonchalant,

and she was in love with the lens.

I thought I could deal with her conceit,

but she loved her self more than could I.

With herself it feels she does cheat,

so it's time that I must say goodbye

Goodbye to a love that faded away.

I shall have tears in my eyes today.
