Sharing one's soul is a wonderful thing

With all the joys into your life it can bring

It can make you sad and happy at the same time

While making your heart like a bell that can chime



We share our experiences with those that we meet

Some are emotional that are ever so sweet

So we embrace the moment and in some way grow

With a warmth in our heart which becomes a glow



Some choose to stay distant and not commit

Those are the ones their life they have quit

They miss the intoxication's of life that give meaning

And continue to look for things that need screening



These things of which I speak are not all intimate

Some are part of life and to ignore we should not permit

Things like the homeless, the abused, and the sick

Which we all should get involved and pretty damn quick



Emotional involvement is part of life and love

And how we react is viewed from above

Those that are pure, love all things and all people

Treating time as a gift and not locked in a steeple



Humans can endure even though we are frail

And when we are gone we will be put on a scale

Weighing our life, seeing what we have done

Hoping in our hearts, we were loved by someone
