Our Favorite Christmas

Folder:
2002 Poetry

Christmases come and Christmases go

The best ones always give us some snow

They are the ones that we hear sung about

Everyone's favorites, there is no doubt

Children can run and play in the white

Even make snowballs and have a good fight

Lots of ways to make play and have sport

Don't forget to build that big old snow fort

Roll up those great big round white balls

Stack them and hope that none of them falls

Stick on some buttons and a great big nose

Dress with some of the household's old clothes

Walk in the flurries and examine the flakes

Enjoying the views while walking on frozen lakes

Seeing the beauty of snow covered trees

While getting a chill as you start to freeze

Then head on home to get out of the storm

Sit in front of the fire to dry and get warm

Thinking about the day with a smile and gleam

Remembering that song about a Christmas dream

Don't know why I wrote this cause I really don't like the snow or the cold.  Although some do and it makes a good vision.
