Making Sense of Senseless Prayers

Growing up is hard to do,

They tell us all along.

We never pay attention,

We say that we are strong.

We go through childhood

Laughing and playing,

Then it hits us all at once.

We find ourselves desperately praying.

Reaching out to find something,

God seems so far away.

Searching everywhere we go,

It seems so silly just to pray.

Then God reaches out to us,

To let us know He cares.

His love pierces through our lives,

Making sense of senseless prayers.

How long have you been signing? i hope to be an interpreter for the deaf, im on my way there soon hopefully. I really like your poetry its not often for me to find someone who writes mostly everything for God. please feel free to view/critique mine.
