You put your arms around me;

Drying my tears with your sleeve;

Not knowing what's really wrong;

All you want is for me to be happy;



Not caring what you have to do;

You'll drop everything just to see me smile;

But the tears just keep falling;

You stop drying my face;



Your tears begin to fall;

We sit there for hours;

Trying to make each other happy;

But the tears just keep falling;



You hold me tightly;

Then whisper in my ears;

Baby I love you;

I say it back with more tears falling;



You ask what's wrong;

You'll never understand;

They start to fall again;

You kiss me and tell me to explain;



I tell you it's impossible;

You say try your best;

Words can't explain how I feel;

They can't show you;



All I can say is I love you;

You have to believe me;

You mean more to me than life itself;

I don't want to be without you;



You smile and say;

You've waited forever to hear that;

I say I've been waiting for that smile;

Then you kiss me and say;



So have I;

The tears stop falling;

We walk away;

Leaving out tears and troubles behind;



Because all we need is each other;
