I think of all these wrongs I'd love to right,
as alone I stare into the darkness of night.
Tears stream down your face,
in the last image I have of you.
Is our love still true? If only I knew.
I struggle to hold on to the memory of you.
It is as if I'm holding onto water,
and when the last drop of you gets through,
even then I will never stop loving you.
You taught me the hardest lesson of life,
that we were all meant to fade in time.
Yes I am afraid, no use in lying.
I continue to live to bring hope to the dying.
