The death of stars, collisions of massive galaxies, and showers of meteors burning and colliding into planets of molten rock endlessly for millions of years is not evil. The lion striking a gazelle, although ruthless, is not evil. The virus that kills lives by doing so, and only by doing so, so may not be called evil. The hawk seeking to merely survive, who swoops upon a rodent seeking merely to survive, is not evil. The man, the most intelligent being of all, with claims of being wrought in the image of a god, who has brought stone across the desert with bare hands and raised towers with mighty cranes of steel, kills for matters as simple as lust, land and wealth. However, if this is what humans are made and evolved to feel, believe, act, and understand, can one truly say that this is evil?
