Doppelgangsters
What is that old saying?
Oh Yeah!
"Birds of a feather
Flock together"
I knew I would remember
all it took was a pack of wolves to remind
that certain angel's have teeth
and the devil hangs out in coiled stance
for unsupecting prey
that don't understand
a man is so much less
no matter what he thinks of himself
especially when the unveiling
is an ugly two headed monster
that will swim in any direction
just give him attention
and he'll show you what is
free and easy
It's like mind over matter
only his matter is all in his mind
Now that we got the devil right where we want him
long gone
well the long is debatable
but I would bet it's back to the mind game
that floats around in cyber space
like a bad penney with Lincoln's head
doing a backwards flip hoping he didn't see
what flopped by him
Let's go back to the soured angel
that sold her soul for the root
of rude awakenings
those teeth sharp as a blade
tearing through pages of "woe is me"
lost in the sunburst that ruined
her moon and stars
and blinded all common sense
that she may have had
Once upon a time
Amazing what the devil and lies
will do to an angel
but then again
maybe they were meant for each other
like that old saying goes
"Birds of a feather
Flock together"
and something tells me
that "The Angel and the Badman"
isn't just a John Wayne movie
and The Duke would roll over in his grave
if he knew they were flying to close
to a classic
in fact knowing the kind of man he was
I believe he would shoot em down
like the lying pack dogs they are
