Ashes To Ashes
I felt so small,
like a leaf in a hurricane
searching for high ground
as the dark of today claimed our twilight,
where I tried to find your stars
beneath the drench of cloud covers,
only to be left standing in the rain
All Alone .
Such beautiful memories of stormy summer nights,
your candy mountain smiles
sweet southern honey laughter,
happiness melting in the glow of our sighs
as two hearts danced to the melody
of thunders bliss,
Raging in the beauty of forevers kiss .
Now I find myself lost in corners of yesterday,
past photographs silhouetted
by the dark side of the moon,
where the only storms are the tears
falling to dust
in a destiny of silent ashes,
The last remnants of which use to be us .
