They loom large, threatening destruction
deep purple
no longer covering sunshine that danced
inside the light of our truth
Thunder rolls in waves of mass heartbreak
black chills
rage in the wind blowing northern hysteria
so easy to run, to hide
seeking shelter before the hurricane
instead of slowing down
riding it out
...and remembering
all the love
and the soft of lips whispering
in the heart of our southern rain
