Velvet Promises



I've rambled ageless frontiers

vast lands no man need venture

catacombs where lonely found solace

in fragments of faded sunlight,

splitting the past into destined garments of wear

hoping to dress the discovery of beautiful

in a dream of visions beyond

a lonesome call of abandonment

This was all yesterday

and tomorrow follows a different path

one that beckons hope

in the silhouette of your sway

as you stain the ground I walk on

in colors of purpose

Tenderness unhinged

in the satin wrap of fingerprints

unfolding verses before my eyes

Inside my heart



I've curled deep in your wind of songs

cradling warmth

beneath an aura of sacred hymns

And I sing

in currents of soft blue

floating

in the sweep of your embrace.

I've found promises

written in velvet shades of gentle

spilling answers from the nectar of sweet release

Tongue-stroked revelations

buried in the truth of my burn

where fire pours heaven

in the drown of our crave.

I found today

Inside your heart

I found the future
