In The Pour Of Tomorrow's Scriptures
Daybreak
Orange bursts beneath blue rises
covering the black satin of a midnight past
where the sun slowly drifts
as the moon fades with a sigh between each star
Morning Scriptures
Awakening with the taste of honey
brushed new upon warm whispers
Spooning with reminders
of last nights beg of forever's
deep in the middle of surrendering
The rest of our lives
Daydreaming
If I had words I would use them
somehow they get lost in translation
Pages turn and chapters fly
the world spins
people are everywhere
and then there is You and I
The music plays
the quiet lays still
and I find the syllables
to paint myself out of this dream
Into the real
the beauty of how I feel
I Love You
Evening Spills
Backporch curled around in a southern glow
as the swing sways to the cradle of our wrap
Blankets covering fingertips dancing in delight
candles inside burning to the rhythm of two souls
melting breathlessly as one
Midnight Pours
A writer writes the lyrics
A poet sings the melody
A man's heart smiles
in the breath of a beautiful hush
as he has it all
And I have Everything
I have You
And We have
all the Moon's and Sun's of every Tomorrow
